The main goal of the Apprentice Chef programme is to teach second level students the importance of cooking and eating fresh food, using locally-sourced products and to promote the food industry as a chosen career path. ‘Taste Kerry has supported the Apprentice Chef programme from day one’, says chef Mark Doe, one of its founders. ‘We see them as a vital partner when it comes to promoting the use of local produce. The Apprentice Chef has gone from strength to strength over the last 4 years and this had been made possible from the support we have had from Taste Kerry’.
Radio Kerry, your local radio station for County Kerry – broadcasting on 96-98FM – kindly ran a feature on the launch of the Taste Kerry website and book.
